"With this calculator the oil sector now has a very easy and quick to use system. It is one of the first digital ones in the country. Before, we used to make complex and time consuming infrastructure projections," explained Silvestre Cassa Iombo, the calculator's creator and president of the board of directors (PCA) of the Oil Field Calculator.

The machine is capable of projecting production levels, calculating the number of wells, installed capacity, costs, among others, explained Silvestre Cassa Iombo, cited by Angop.

The "software allows, when an oil field is discovered, to calculate the type of rig, the drilling and the production cost of the field," he explained.

He also explained that after a field is discovered, the data is introduced in the calculator and it estimates a set of factors, such as the production values, the drilling, which rigs should be used, the costs, among others.

"Oil Field Calculator developed the calculator in 2017 with a very rare feature and can estimate, in a few seconds, the desired results that an engineer needs for the preparation of a project," he explained in statements to Angop.
According to the company's PCA, the project is already being used in some companies, in Angola and abroad. In the country the National Oil and Gas Agency (ANPG) stands out, which has been using OFC2000 for about two years, and the machine has already calculated the cost of 180 projects for the national concessionaire.

The company invested about $20,000 in the creation of the calculator. So far, with the fees charged to users (which range from $10,000 to $20,000), the company has already amassed between $120,000 and $150,000.
