Eight Luanda-Lisbon flights confirmed in August. TAP with new dates

The Portuguese air carrier TAP has new dates for the Luanda-Lisbon connections in August, with three flights scheduled, in addition to five others already announced by the national airline TAAG.

:

According to previous information, TAP would operate a flight on August 14, but according to the information made available this Wednesday by the Portuguese consulate in Angola, the Portuguese carrier will fly on August 13, at 11:25 pm, and more two Luanda-Lisbon connections, on 19 and 21 August, at 9:45 pm.

Five flights by the Angolan carrier TAAG are also scheduled on the same route, on the 13th, 18th, 20th, 25th and 27th of this month, all at 11:30 am.

All reservations, information and eventual ticket changes must be sent to TAP or TAAG, respectively.

The country has kept its borders closed since 20 March, and extended the situation of public calamity on Saturday until 8 September, but has authorized cargo and repatriation flights.

The consulate also informed that the Portuguese Government has extended the restrictive measures on air traffic to and from Portugal.

These measures provide for exceptions, including flights originating in Portuguese speaking countries, for essential trips (transit or entry or departure from Portugal for Portuguese citizens, nationals of the European Union, nationals of States associated with the Schengen Area and members their families, and third-country nationals legally resident in Portugal or in a Member State of the European Union).

Third-country nationals traveling for professional, study, family reunion, health or humanitarian reasons will also be allowed into Portugal, according to the principle of reciprocity, and these cases must be validated by the general consulate of Portugal in Luanda, by sending the request to consulado.luanda@mne.pt.

All passengers on these flights will be required to present proof of laboratory testing for screening for SARS-CoV-2 infection, with a negative result, performed within the last 72 hours prior to departure.

National and foreign citizens with a residence permit in Portugal who, exceptionally, do not have this proof, will be subjected to the said test on arrival in Portugal, at their own expense, while foreign citizens who are not resident in Portugal will not be able to board.

Passengers in transit, who do not leave the international zone of the airport, will not have to present the test.
