Two other instruments will be signed on the sidelines of the Luanda International Fair (FILDA), on Wednesday.
"Very disparate matters" that have been the subject of interaction between the two countries, highlighted the Portuguese prime minister, highlighting that these "are an expression that this relationship [between Portugal and Angola] is alive and is here at all times".
Among the bilateral instruments, a cooperation protocol stands out between the Ministry of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security of Portugal and the Ministry of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security for the period 2024-2027.
In the area of finance and planning, two memoranda of understanding were signed, relating to the promotion and development of public-private partnerships and management of public debt and State treasury, as well as a financing contract for the Chicomba water dam project, in under the Portugal-Angola convention.
A technical-police and civil protection cooperation program and a project in the area of public administration were also the subject of agreements.
In the sea sector, a protocol was signed between the fishing training centers of Angola and Portugal and, in the Health sector, a memorandum relating to the medicines regulatory authorities of the two countries and a proposal for a cooperation protocol between the National Institute of Health Research (INIS) and the National Institute of Health Doutor Ricardo Jorge.
In the tourism sector, highlights include a proposal for a cooperation protocol to support the creation of a network of hotel and tourism schools and a cooperation protocol between Turismo de Portugal and the Instituto de Fomento Turístico de Angola regarding the Revive Program.
A partnership agreement was also signed between Camões – Instituto da Cooperação e da Língua and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding a doctoral course in primary education methodology, within the framework of the strategic cooperation program and the memorandum of understanding on training and teaching staff management.
