Speaking at the ceremony to present the results of the Angolan oil and gas industry in the months of April, May and June, the government official highlighted that China was the main destination for national crude oil in that period, with 54.83 percent of the total volume exported. .
Spain with 8 percent, India (7.84 percent), Canada (4.11 percent), France (3.71 percent) and South Africa (3.5 percent) were the other destinations for oil exports .
The value allocated by the authorities registered an increase of 2.38 percent compared to the first quarter of 2024 and an increase of 12.19 percent compared to the same quarter of 2023.
Of the volume exported, the National Agency of Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels led with 25.67 percent, followed by the state-owned Sonangol with 14.81 percent, and among international companies, Azule Energy stands out (15.82 percent), TotalEnergies (12.47 percent), Esso (9.94 percent) and Equinor (6.83 percent).
According to José Barroso, gas exports, in the period in question, totaled one million metric tons, of which 82.45 percent represents LNG (liquefied natural gas), totaling the value of 566.84 million dollars of exported volume.
Gas exports this quarter represented an increase of almost 10 percent compared to the previous quarter.
