According to a statement from CIPRA, to which VerAngola had access, the meeting, held at the Presidential Palace, was dominated by "aspects linked to the activities carried out by this multinational in Angola in the oil and gas sectors".
Speaking to the press after the meeting, Cláudio Descalzi said that the audience also discussed the "major projects" that the Italian oil company has underway in the agricultural sector.
"We also talk about the major projects that ENI is developing in the agriculture sector in some agricultural centers here in the country," he said, quoted in the statement.
According to the person responsible, there is "talking about a production of around 120 tons of vegetable oil in a space of 150 thousand hectares", the note reads.
On the occasion, he assured that this project will enable the creation of a total of 100 thousand jobs.
In addition to projects in the agriculture sector, the hearing also discussed "the studies carried out by Azur with regard to the production of biofuels and biodiesel".
According to the president of ENI's executive committee, cited by Angop, the oil company, through Azule Energy, wants to start gas production by December next year and, simultaneously, expand oil production capacity.
