Sino Ord Park Industrial and O.I. International join forces to set up a factory in Angola

Sino Ord Park Industrial and O.I. International signed an agreement aimed at setting up a factory for disposable diapers, sanitary napkins and other products in Bengo province.

According to a communiqué from the Provincial Government of Bengo, to which VerAngola had access, the agreement was signed in China, in a ceremony witnessed by the governor of Bengo, Maria Antónia Nelumba, as part of her participation in the 3rd Economic and Commercial Forum China/ Africa, in the province of Hunan, where "the African countries showed their full potential in their respective stands, not only in terms of raw materials but also finished products", with Angola showing "its strength in terms of agricultural products, mining and various raw materials much sought after by Chinese businessmen".

"Also in this province [Hunan] Maria Antónia Nelumba witnessed the signing of the agreement between the multinational company Sino Ord Park Industrial and O.I. International which provides for the installation of a factory for disposable diapers, sanitary towels and other related products on the premises of the former, located in Barra do Dande", reads the statement.

After participating in the forum, the governor's next activity, still in Hunan, took place in "the municipality of Changde, a place of enormous prestige in the world from an industrial and technological point of view", where "the company Zoomlion, the largest manufacturer of cranes in the world".

"Before leaving the province, Maria Antónia Nelumba advanced more details with the local authorities on the future twinning of Bengo and Hunan", reads the statement.

Also within the calendar of activities is a trip to Shandon province, which took place at the invitation of Sino Ord Industrial.

"At the invitation of Sino Ord Industrial, a company that, as is known, has a huge tile and mosaic factory in Bengo that exports them to several countries, the governor and her delegation traveled to Shandon province, Linyi municipality, where it is located the Order Grup, the holding company to which Sino Ord Park Industrial belongs", says the statement, which adds that several meetings were held here with a view to "reinforcing cooperation between the two parties".

On the occasion, the PCA of Order Grup considered that the presence of the governor of Bengo "instilled confidence in local businessmen for their future investment in the province of Bengo".

In turn, the governor considered her visit to the Asian country as "positive", aiming at "the vast possibilities for Chinese business groups to invest in Bengo province in various areas and domains".

It should be noted that Maria Antónia Nelumba returned to the country last Thursday, after her eight-day workday on Chinese soil.

According to the statement, the national delegation was also made up of the directors of Integrated Economic Development, Pedro Katendi, of the Legal and Exchange Office, António Monteiro, and of the Social Communication Office, Francisco Alexandre.
