MINSA and IRCAD Africa of Rwanda strengthen partnership in the health sector

The Minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta, informed that the ministry she supervises wants to “increase the capacity in health assistance in different specialties in partnership with” the IRCAD Africa of Rwanda.

The minister – who was speaking this Monday – considered that Angola has "a very close relationship" in terms of cooperation with Rwanda and wants to "expand in various areas", says a statement from the Ministry of Health, to which VerAngola had access.

"Research, teaching, learning, quality of services and funding are the areas of greatest interest, as set out in the agreement between the two countries", said the holder of the Health portfolio, quoted in the note.

Sílvia Lutucuta "made it known that the sector still has a lot to do and defends challenges in the investment of human capital", reads the statement, which adds that the minister "valued the IRCAD initiative", having reiterated "the Ministry's interest of Health collaborate in several aspects".

King Kayondo, president of IRCAD Africa, expressed interest in collaboration in the field of health "with a focus on improving results, an opportunity for the African continent".

According to the communiqué, the IRCAD Africa delegation carried out, this Monday, a working day at the Hospital Materno-Infantil Dr. Azancot de Menezes and at the Cardinal Dom Alexandre do Nascimento Hospital Complex for Cardio-Pulmonary Diseases, expressing that she was "satisfied with what she found".
