Taking stock of the "large numbers recorded" by the program, from 2019 to 2022, the Secretary of State – quoted in a statement from the Ministry of Economy and Planning, to which VerAngola had access – stressed that in the said period "207 fairs were held, that promote access to the market, 4795 projects were approved for an approximate value of 1.4 billion kwanzas, of which more than 1 billion kwanzas were disbursed referring to 3950 projects".

The official indicated that the agriculture and livestock sector stands out the most among the total number of approved projects: "Of the 4795 approved projects, 3343 are concentrated in the agriculture and livestock sector, with trade taking second place, with 732 projects, followed by the manufacturing industry sector, with 503 projects, the remaining projects being subdivided into the most varied sectors", he said.

In terms of jobs, in the period in question, "it is estimated that around 75,000 jobs were created", the note also mentions.

With regard to the Portal for the Disclosure of National Production, Ivan dos Santos made it known that "the target of 40,000 national producers to register" on the portal until last year, "was largely exceeded, since 105,000 producers are registered".

"It should be noted that of the 1514 credits to companies programmed by the National Development Plan (PDN) 2018-2022, it was possible to carry out a total of 3331 credits, under the financial instruments of Prodesi, thus representing a degree of realization greater than 200 percent. A similar situation can be seen in loans to cooperatives, where it was possible to carry out 1015 loans, a number higher than the 470 foreseen by the PDN, also with a degree of realization greater than 200 percent. For 2023, the degree of achievement for companies and cooperatives is already above 70 percent", the statement also reads.

Among the financial instruments, in addition to the PAC – responsible for the largest number of credits disbursed (1439) – we also highlight "the Fund for Supporting Agrarian Development, with 1340, Notice 10 of the BNA, with 643, Economic Relief, with 518 and the Deutsche Bank line, with two credits already disbursed", indicates the note, which adds that of the 4,795 approved projects, "only 845 credits remain to be disbursed".

According to the guardianship note, the impact of Prodesi "already felt in the last agricultural campaign". Comparing the numbers of the 2018/2019 campaign with that of 2021/2022, there was an increase of "9.83 percent in cereals, 16.05 percent roots and tubers, 8.14 percent legumes, in terms of for fruit trees the increase was 14.39 percent and for vegetables the growth was 1.91 percent", according to the Secretary of State, who cited the report by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock.

"The numbers are still not satisfying, but they are encouraging, as they reveal that the Executive is on the right path. What is missing now is to increase the scale of production of food products such as chicken, soy and palm oil, rice, corn, wheat and cotton, to respond to the domestic market demand," said Ivan dos Santos, quoted in the statement.
