Malanje will have new hospital with more than 200 beds

Malanje province will have a new hospital with more than 200 beds. The infrastructure, valued at around 50 million dollars, will be built in an area of 15,000 square meters, in the Carreira de Tiro neighbourhood.

The future hospital will have a total of 241 beds and will also have an area for clinical training and hospital management, according to Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA).

For the provincial president of the Ordem dos Médicos, the future unit translates into a "gain for the province".

"The new hospital for Malanje in this dimension represents a gain for the province. With a hospital of this caliber, doctors will have a very well-structured working condition and conditions", said the official, quoted by RNA.

In turn, the doctor Fiel Neto, considered that the new hospital will be added to the regional hospital of the province, which will make it possible to increase the response capacity: "It has been a long time since we had a provincial hospital, if we manage to get it working Malanje General Hospital at 100 percent and having the provincial hospital, we will even have an answer to give in the eastern region of Angola, and that's what the province wins that wins the country".

The deputy dean of the faculty of medicine at Queen Njinga a Mbande University considered that the new hospital will serve as a place for students of that institution to learn.

"May these rooms also serve as classrooms so that students, when they are there, first receive the theoretical part of the clinical cycle in the rooms and then go on to the practical part, which is direct contact with patients and under observation of those who first graduated ", he said, quoted by RNA.
