The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation informed that the Polytechnic Institute of Waco Kungo, in the province of Cuanza Sul, is illegal, as are the courses it has been advertising.

In a statement, the ministry informs that it became aware, through social networks, that the institute, which is not legally created, is publicizing preparatory acts for the activities of the academic year 2021/2022.

The note underscores that the institute is recruiting teachers, publicizing undergraduate courses and opening enrollments for students, without being legally created.

"The creation of a higher education institution is the responsibility of the President of the Republic, through a Presidential Decree. The institution in question is illegal", says the document, stating that "all acts performed by the entity in question are illegal and null".

According to the statement, the legal procedures for the creation of a higher institute in Waco Kungo are in progress at the ministry, but until its formal creation, in the form of a Presidential Decree, the promoting entity must refrain from engaging in any type of activity academic or administrative, under penalty of nullity of the process in progress.

Interested parties are urged by the Ministry to request the Presidential Decree for the creation of the institution and the executive decree for the creation of courses, under the sole competence of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, whenever they wish to benefit from the services of an educational institution. higher.
