Benguela: trains restart operations between Luena-Huambo on Monday

It is already from next Monday 13th July that the trains of the Benguela Railway (CFB) start to circulate between Luena and Huambo, passing through Bié. Each coach will only be able to circulate with half of its capacity.

For now, explains CFB in a statement quoted by Angop, on Mondays and Wednesdays, two trips will be made in the Luena-Huambo feeling and two others in the opposite direction.

On Tuesday, in a downward direction, CFB will make the connection between Luena-Cuito. The connection upwards on this route will be made on Thursday.

CFB trains stopped running in March due to the presence of covid-19 in the country. According to the communiqué, the CFB has decided to resume this operation after ensuring the necessary safety conditions to protect passengers and staff.
