The epidemiological assessment was presented this Tuesday by the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda.
Among the 50 cases, aged between 2 and 73 years, 38 are male and 12 female.
Among these, 49 were registered in Luanda and one in Bengo, a province that now joins those that already had cases identified (Luanda, Kwanza Norte, Kwanza Sul). She is an Angolan citizen of 63 years of age and is considered an imported case from Luanda.
The six deaths are related to three women and three men aged between 33 and 67.
The health authorities also announced the recovery of 24 people.
The backlog of infections now stands at 1,000 (plus 50), of which 47 deaths (plus six), 687 active (plus 20) and 266 have been recovered.
Among the assets, 15 are in severe condition and eight are in critical condition, with invasive mechanical ventilation, two of which need haemodialysis.
The covid-19 pandemic has already caused over 654,000 deaths.
