The official cited a study carried out by the health authorities, whose projections point to an extension of the disease curve in the coming months if the population does not comply with the requested prophylactic means.
"If these preventive measures are observed, there may be a flattening of the curve," said Franco Mufinda, quoted by Angop.
It is recalled that Angola already has 779 confirmed positive cases, including 30 dead. If there is a failure to use the face mask, hand washing or crowding, the National Health System may reach its limit, leading to sanitary chaos in the country.
In this way, the infectious disease doctor Joaquim Isaac advised to reinforce the biosafety measures, namely the correct use of the protective mask, which he considered indispensable.
He recalled that all measures are necessary (hand washing, social detachment, etc.) because it is a virus of rapid contagion.
However, because it does not spread more than two meters away and is easily destroyed with alcohol in gel or blue soap, compliance with preventive measures will be essential.
