With the motto "50 Years of Communicating, Modernizing and Developing Angola", this year's edition will bring together around 150 startups, an increase compared to the previous edition, which had 125 startups.
"Most startups operate in Luanda, but this year we will have a strong presence of young entrepreneurs from the provinces of Namibe, Huíla, Cabinda, Uíge, Bié and Cuanza Norte", said the event's spokesperson, João Demba, quoted by Jornal de Angola.
The number of companies confirmed for the current forum has also increased: this year's edition will bring together around 100 companies, compared to the 70 registered in the previous edition.
This forum will also have international participation, with a special focus on Namibia, which will participate with government representatives, ministers and secretaries of state for Telecommunications and Information Technologies.
"They will participate in a political panel dedicated to the debate on the major challenges and perspectives of the sector", said the spokesperson.
As for visits, around 20,000 visitors are expected, an equally significant increase in relation to last year's edition, which received around 12,000 visitors.
"The organization is betting on the new school calendar with the event, which will take place from Thursday to Saturday, and on the creation of a family ticket, which will allow entry for up to five members of the same household", explained the spokesperson, quoted by Jornal de Angola.
According to the event's website, Angotic is "a global information and communication technology event, held and promoted by the Government of Angola, through the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technology and Social Communication, which, among others, aims to promote debate around current, global and future ICT themes, promote the sharing of knowledge, facilitate networking for government entities, exhibitors and experts, and present innovations as well as trends in the sector".
The 2025 edition's program will cover a variety of topics, some of which are related to the latest developments in the ICT field, such as Artificial Intelligence.
This year's speakers include Mário Oliveira, Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technology and Social Communication; Ângelo João, Secretary of State for Telecommunications; Nuno Albino, Secretary of State for Social Communication; among many others.
