"The Ministry of Finance informs that, in light of the Treasury's financial planning, it will begin paying the 13th-month salary supplement in August, along with the respective month's remuneration, to all civil servants," reads a statement from the Ministry, that VerAngola had access to.

This measure allows civil servants to receive their Christmas bonus early and gradually.

"Thus, civil servants will receive their Christmas bonus early and gradually, which will be paid in four monthly installments between August and November of this year," the statement reads.

According to the Ministry, this exercise, from August to November, will ensure that all citizens receive their 13th-month salary by December, which, generally, "is intended to cover year-end expenses, ensuring a smooth end of the year for all civil servants."

"The measure aims to allow the Executive Branch to honor the commitments and rights of public servants and, at the same time, alleviate cash flow pressures," the statement reads.

Furthermore, the initiative also aims to "prevent demand-side constraints due to excess liquidity during the month of December, which could influence the price index and, consequently, seriously affect purchasing power."

Regarding salaries, the Government assured that salary processing is proceeding normally. In a statement cited by Angop, the Ministry of Finance reported that salary processing is proceeding normally, with no interruptions or anticipated suspensions.
