"The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, received today [Wednesday] a message from the President of the Central African Republic, Faustin-Archange Touadéra", informs the Presidency of the Republic, in a brief statement to which VerAngola had access.
The note also states that the hearing took place at the Presidential Palace.
"The letter was delivered by the country's Minister of Finance and Budget, Hervé Ndoba, who was received today [Wednesday] at the Presidential Palace, in Cidade Alta, as a special envoy," the note states.
After the meeting, Ndoba stressed that Angola played a relevant role in the pacification and stability of the CAR, within the framework of the Luanda Roadmap, adding that the authorities in his country continue to work on the aforementioned roadmap, which has led them "on the path of peace and stability".
"We, the member countries, have this need to report to the president of the African Union the current state and progress of our internal situations," he added, in statements to the press, cited by Angop.
The special envoy of the President of the CAR also took the opportunity to announce that his country will be present at the US-Africa Summit, taking place this month in Luanda: "We will be present at the event to enhance our continent, as it is an activity that could give African countries an opportunity to show what they have, not only in an exchange between us, but above all with American businesspeople".
