The announcement was made by the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, José de Lima Massano, at the kickoff of the 40th Angola International Fair, which runs until Sunday in the Special Economic Zone.
On the occasion, the minister assured that the Executive will continue to adopt consistent public policies that contribute to macroeconomic stability, facilitate market organization and access, and stimulate financing and productive investment.
Regarding business support, Massano highlighted the recent capital increase of the Angolan Development Bank and the Credit Guarantee Fund, as well as the launch by FADA of the "Transforma Aqui" Program, to support the emergence of small and medium-sized industries in rural areas.
These actions, he emphasized, contribute to the continued strengthening and dynamization of the national economy.
The minister also urged companies operating in Angola to better understand each other: "Identify your needs for inputs and services, share this information without fear, and, whenever possible, establish long-term supply agreements to convey security and confidence to investors and financiers," he urged.
He also urged companies to constantly highlight their work, the skills and competencies they already possess, and those that can serve the market.
"Demonstrating what is done well in Angola is not just a matter of marketing, but a strategic step to stimulate domestic consumption, attract partnerships, and foster development and economic integration," he stated.
To transform potential into concrete results, he emphasized, a new level of interconnection between the production sector, distribution, services, and technological innovation is necessary.
Lima Massano acknowledged that the challenges of economic diversification are still complex and demanding, and therefore stated that a path of corrections and reforms is necessary to overcome vulnerabilities.
"We need the understanding and continued engagement of citizens and businesses. The participants and visitors of this fair, business leaders, have the power not only to grow their own companies and businesses, but also to jointly shape the future of the economy and the community," he stated.
FILDA annually brings together national and international entrepreneurs to showcase products and services, as well as establish contacts for partners and have a visible impact on the national economy and abroad.
The event, which in its 40th edition celebrates the 50th anniversary of Angola's Independence, runs until Sunday and features over 2,000 exhibitors, 80 percent of whom are national, with expectations of closing deals and attracting investment.
