João Lourenço and Pedro Sánchez analyze friendship and cooperation relationships

The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, and Pedro Sánchez, President of the Government of Spain, held, this Thursday, a meeting that was dominated by the analysis of relations of friendship and cooperation between both countries.

According to a note from CIPRA, which VerAngola had access to, the meeting took place at the Moncloa Palace, in Madrid, Spain.

"At the beginning of the afternoon of this Thursday, the 15th, the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, was at the Moncloa Palace for a meeting with the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez", reads the note.

The meeting served for the two leaders to review the level of relations between Angola and Spain. "Friendship and cooperation relations on the Luanda-Madrid axis dominated the meeting", adds CIPRA.

It should be noted that the head of state is in Spain, where he is present at the conference on the global impact of vaccines.

It should be recalled that in February this year, the Kings of Spain, Felipe VI and Letizia, made an official visit to Angola. On the occasion, three memorandums of understanding were signed: one between the Venâncio de Moura Diplomatic Academy and the Diplomatic School of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of the Kingdom of Spain; another in the field of industry between the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Angola and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism of Spain; and the third in the field of sports.

It should also be recalled that in April 2021, Pedro Sánchez visited Angola, when cooperation between the two countries was also reinforced, with the signing of four legal instruments in the fields of air transport, agriculture, fisheries and industry.
