Grupo Apollo visits the Hospital Complex for Cardio-Pulmonary Diseases to reinforce the health sector

A delegation from the Apollo group – which is a health institution in India – visited the Cardeal Dom Alexandre do Nascimento Hospital Complex for Cardio-Pulmonary Diseases, with a view to strengthening cooperation in the health sector.

According to the institution's pedagogical and scientific director, Djamel Kitumba, "the Ministry of Health intends to increase capacity in health care in different specialties", says a note from the Ministry of Health, which VerAngola had access to.

The official also "defended that the Apollo group has more than 80 specialties in its portfolio", and the guardianship sees in this visit - which took place this Monday - "a great opportunity to reinforce the training of health professionals in related specialties with heart, lung and neurosurgery".

With more than 170 hospitals spread across different countries, the aforementioned group is in the country at the invitation of the Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency of Angola (AIPEX) and the Minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta, following "a mission that the MINSA delegation had in March of the current year, in the city of Mumbai", the note also indicates.
