According to the vice-governor of Bengo, José Bartolomeu Pedro, at the moment, "the machine is in tune", being "working at full speed" so that on Saturday it will be possible to start "without any surprises".

"We will have more than 150 exhibitors at our fair. At this very moment, the machine is fine-tuned, we are working at full speed so that on the 23rd we can start without any problems", said the coordinator of the fair's preparatory commission, quoted by Rádio National of Angola (RNA).

The official also pointed out that last year they received a dozen vehicles destined to transport products from the countryside to the city and that last week they received another 10. These vehicles, he indicated, will support the transport of products to the fair site: "Last year we received 10 vehicles to transport products from the countryside to the city, last week we received another 10. All these 10 vehicles are mobilized to then support municipal administrations in the flow of products from the field to the place of the fair, which is the Panguila market", he said.

José Bartolomeu Pedro indicated that banana is the "brand" of the event, but that in addition to this fruit, other products produced in the province will be on display.

"Banana is our brand, but in addition to bananas, we are going to exhibit all the products we produce here", he pointed out. Quoted by RNA, the official said that it was an "essentially agricultural" province, with "everything here, everything is useful, everything can be cultivated".

"In addition to bananas, we will also exhibit everything we grow, from cassava, beans, sweet potatoes, (...), everything that comes from Bengo province will be displayed here", he added, quoted by RNA.

With regard to participation, the vice-governor of Bengo said that there had already been "confirmation from about 11 provinces", considering that this "fair will be much more national than the others".

The fair starts next Saturday, the 23rd of June, at the Panguila market, where it will run until Sunday, the 25th of June.
