In this sense, a delegation from Namibia, led by Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, Deputy Prime Minister of that country, paid a visit to Bengo to analyze the agricultural potential of that province, aiming at increasing the exportation levels of agricultural products, with emphasis on the banana.
"Now that we have seen the two borders open and we encourage our entrepreneurs to take advantage of this opportunity, that is why we made a point of including some entrepreneurs within this commercial delegation", said the Namibian official, quoted by Angolan Public Television (TPA).
On its trip to Bengo, the Namibian delegation passed through the Novagrolider farm and the Turiagro farm.
About the visit, the governor of Bengo, Mara Quiosa, considered that these two infrastructures will serve as a reference for the neighboring country: "These two great infrastructures that we visited will certainly serve as a reference for, in this case, the neighboring Republic of Namibia".
According to TPA, at the Novagrolider farm, Namibia was once one of the main export destinations, but the pandemic postponed several plans.
However, a company official, quoted by TPA, made it known that the logistical situation is being resolved: "We are resolving this issue of logistics so that we can start exporting on a regular basis".
It should be noted that production in that province, at an internal level, has been noticed, with several tons of agricultural products, with emphasis on bananas, papaya, passion fruit, guava and pitaya, leaving the lands of Bengo to other points abroad, such as Portugal and Spain.
