Of the 110 new professionals who will reinforce the hospital's services, 40 are doctors and 70 are nurses. All in all, with these new hires, the unit's team now consists of 623 professionals, 101 of whom are doctors, 308 are nurses, 65 are diagnostic technicians, in addition to auxiliary staff.
During the presentation of the new professionals, the Health Minister, Silvia Lutucuta, considered that the professionals should provide a human service in order to try and improve the health of the children.
Quoted by Angop, the Health Minister said she was pleased with the organization of the health unit and the conservation of the building.
The minister and her delegation also took the opportunity to present, with several toys, the children who are being treated at the hospital, writes Angop.
The David Bernardino paediatric hospital was inaugurated about a year ago by João Lourenço. It has 132 beds, of which 47 for intensive care, 19 for the neonatology area and six incubators.
Triage, emergency, intensive care, external consultations, among others, are some of the services that the hospital integrates.
