After being received by Quiçama's municipal administrator, António Fiel 'Didi', Yola Semedo travelled over 35 kilometres between the communes of Muxima and Cacumba - the places chosen to deliver the baskets. The more than 600 baskets eventually reached the various families in the localities closest to those communes, namely Pixi, Casseque and Camona.
According to a Facebook post by the Municipal Administration of Quiçama, Yola Semedo was received by the popular with "local dance and music".
Faced with the affection she received, the singer thanked "the gesture of joy and satisfaction" and revealed that her act of solidarity would not end there.
"It's an enormous satisfaction to do good mainly to those who need it most and in these places there's a lot of need, and we feel grateful for that", she said.
Yola Semedo's visit lasted over two hours. In the end, the singer appealed to everyone to prevent themselves against the disease and stressed that it is important to "take the positive things out of this new phase", indicating that having more time to be with the family is one of them.
