The new governor - sworn in by the President five days ago - spoke during the ceremony to hand over the portfolios of the Provincial Government of Luanda, saying that the capital is currently facing several social and economic problems, but making it clear that she will work to combat them.
During her speech, Joana Lina called on all the provincial directors and all the district and municipal administrations to work together to combat the difficulties that Luanda is experiencing and expressed her willingness to collaborate and help all those who will work with you: "I came to the province of Luanda to work and you can count on me".
Cited by Angop, the governor also acknowledged that she is working hard and that the various constraints facing the capital may delay the implementation of some projects. However, Joana Lina did not fail to point out that she will do everything in her power to face the current difficulties.
"As you can certainly imagine, we are not here to solve all of Luanda's problems, but we are here to help find sustainable ways to progressively solve the problems that society is asking us to solve," she stressed.
Sérgio Luther Rescova, who until then was governor of Luanda and will now become governor of Uíge, took advantage of the ceremony to thank the people of Luanda and asked Joana Lina to trust the team she will be working with because so far they have done a good job.
The Minister of Territorial Administration and State Reform, Marcy Lopes, who was also present at the ceremony, explained that the fact that Luanda has a large number of inhabitants and is the city that houses all the national bodies of sovereignty, makes the government action ineffective. However, she stressed that if there is union, Joana Lina's work will be facilitated.
