According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, the 15 positive cases correspond to patients between 5 and 67 years of age, 10 female and five male, all from Luanda.
Two cases are of local contamination, related to the Multiperfil Clinic, where several infections were registered, one related to one of the infected in the Hoji-Ya-Henda district and seven "with other cases".
Another five cases have "epidemiological link to be determined" and were detected as part of a random collection of 150 samples, in five national reference hospitals and three private clinics, taking into account the orientation of testing contacts of positive cases during the quarantine period and the screening for acute respiratory diseases or aggravation of respiratory syndrome, indicated the Secretary of State.
"We are testing a large number of contacts and taking samples in several conglomerates," he stressed, calling for the problem of covid-19 to be taken "with the seriousness it deserves" in view of the daily increase in cases.
Franco Mufinda insisted on the need for hand sanitization, the wearing of masks and physical distance, stressing that "the progression of the pandemic depends" on how protective measures are followed.
Angola now totals 212 infected, with ten deaths, 121 active and 81 recovered.
In the last 24 hours, 347 samples have been processed, with 22,895 harvests to date, with 212 resulting positive, 17,527 negative and the rest being processed.
At the end of the daily assessment of the epidemiological situation, the national director of Institutional Communication and Press of the Ministry of Media, Eduardo Magalhães, announced the extension of the health fence in Luanda until 23h59 on 10 July 2020.
