"The lifting of a health fence depends very much on test results, the evaluation of direct contacts and the isolation of people without any risk of contamination. This work has been done by the Multi-sectoral Commission," he said, quoted by Angop.
The holder of the Health portfolio also made it known that the results should be known during this week, but predicts that the fence will be maintained because that area is considered "high risk".
The determination that that neighborhood is high risk was made after an epidemiological study revealed that the number of local contamination is quite high.
The minister also revealed that the commission has been distributing some food baskets to families who are confined in that neighborhood to try to ensure that the people who live there have enough food to survive.
Silvia Lutucuta also spoke about the fence set up on 30 May at the Multiperfil clinic. She said that the cordon was set up to control the transmission of covid-19 and said that the feeding of health professionals and patients who are confined in the clinic is being ensured by the hospital management and the commission.
