Lulo shows ‘wealth’ again: giant diamond weighing more than 100 carats discovered

A diamond weighing 195 carats was discovered in the Lulo mine, located in the province of Lunda Norte, informed the company Lucapa Diamond Company, which added that with this discovery, four diamonds weighing more than 100 carats have already been recovered from this mine this year alone.

According to the company's announcement, to which VerAngola had access, the most recent discovery concerns a 195-carat type IIa diamond.

This giant stone is "the fourth diamond weighing more than 100 carats to be recovered in Lulo this year", says the company.

Furthermore, according to the Lucapa Diamond Company, this diamond is "the sixth largest and the 44th diamond weighing more than 100 carats to be recovered in Lulo's alluvial operations since mining began in 2015".

It is recalled that in March of this year, a diamond weighing 2023 carats had already been recovered from Lulo, while in February two diamonds weighing 162 carats and 116 carats were discovered.
