According to the company's announcement, to which VerAngola had access, the most recent discovery concerns a 195-carat type IIa diamond.
This giant stone is "the fourth diamond weighing more than 100 carats to be recovered in Lulo this year", says the company.
Furthermore, according to the Lucapa Diamond Company, this diamond is "the sixth largest and the 44th diamond weighing more than 100 carats to be recovered in Lulo's alluvial operations since mining began in 2015".
It is recalled that in March of this year, a diamond weighing 2023 carats had already been recovered from Lulo, while in February two diamonds weighing 162 carats and 116 carats were discovered.
