Champion Petro de Luanda draws in the closing of Girabola

Petro de Luanda, national champion guided by Portuguese coach Alexandre Santos, finished Girabola with 75 points, taking into account the draw against Interclube (1-1), on the 30th and final matchday.

Jorginho, in the 33rd minute, opened the scoring for Interclube, and Tiago Azulão, top scorer, with 21 goals, equalized at 90+2.

Petro de Luanda achieved the highest points record in the history of the national championship and, as a result of winning the title, earned 24 million kwanzas.

On the other hand, Recreativo do Libolo, coached by the Portuguese Paulo Torres, finished Girabola in ninth position, with 37 points, after a 1-1 draw against Bravos do Maquis, fifth, with 46, in the province of Cuanza Sul.

Bravos do Maquis took the lead in the 52nd minute, through Buá, and the hosts re-established equality with a goal from Gogoró, shortly afterwards.

1.º de Agosto beat Sagrada Esperança 3-1 and finished in second place, with 61 points, and qualified for the next edition of the African Champions Clubs' League.

Melono Dala, in the 23rd minute, Benarfa, in the 63rd minute, and Dago, in the 80th minute, scored the goals, while Vitoriano, in the 27th minute, scored the lone goal for Sagrada Esperança, who finished third, with 60 points, and qualified for the African Confederation Cup.

In the relegated game, Kabuscorp do Palanca thrashed Progresso do Sambizanga 4-0, with goals from Chapa, at 13 minutes, and Kuxixima, at 57, 72 and 80.

Recreativo da Caála beat Académica do Lobito 1-0 and ended the championship in seventh place.

Deco's goal, in the 83rd minute, gave Recreativo da Caála the victory, which closed Girabola with 42 points.

Desportivo da Huila beat Wiliete de Benguela by 3-1, and ended the championship in sixth position, with 45 points.

Mona, at 13 minutes, opened the scoring for Wiliete de Benguela, and Mendes, at 21, Malamba, at 77, and Fredy, at 95, turned around the result.

Cuando Cubango FC, on the other hand, thrashed the already relegated Sporting de Benguela by 5-0, and ranked 10th, with 36 points.

Apado, in the first minute, at 62 and 64, Samuel, at 47, and Micro, at 66, scored the goals.

Desportivo da Luanda Sul and Sporting de Cabinda drew (1-1). Dieu, in the 38th minute, scored for Desportivo da Lunda Sul, and Liliano, two minutes later, re-established equality.

Kabuscorp do Palanca, Progresso do Sambizanga and Sporting de Benguela were relegated.

Brazilian forward Tiago Azulão, from Petro de Luanda, was the top scorer, with 21 goals.

Escolinha de Benguela, ASK Dragão and Santa Rita de Cássia, both from the province of Uíge, ascend to the first division of national football.
