"The Federation is preparing in the best possible way, but we still have the same problem of financial resources. So far we have absolutely nothing, we will probably announce withdrawal, because it is not possible to work this way. There is no prospect of resources for this participation" lamented Artur Almeida e Silva.
The leader said that the state has not given due value to football.
"The budget plans were delivered more than three months ago, but unfortunately, so far we have absolutely no signs. People already say 'they are always begging', we are not begging for anything, because it is the country that is in concerned, it's not Artur Almeida, it's not a member of the Federation, it's the Angola national team. Unfortunately, we haven't paid enough attention to football, this is the pure reality" he concluded.
In the qualifying phase of CAN2023, which starts in three weeks, the Angolan football team, which is included in Group E, will face the counterparts of the Central African Republic, Ghana and Madagascar.
