Conference “Pensar Angola” seeks solutions to the country’s problems

This Friday, Angolan society is discussing the country's challenges and opportunities at the second “Conference National Pensar Angola”, which brings together several professionals to create a “platform of ideas” and solutions to the country's problems.

Challenges and opportunities for the Angolan health system, human rights, current situation and challenges, job creation and entrepreneurship and the legacy of history and culture for citizenship are some of the topics addressed at this conference.

Geraldo Dala, mentor and coordinator of the "Conference National Pensar Angola", said, at the opening, that the event aims to "find ways to contribute, through dialogue for the development" of the country.

Kikas Machado, who spoke on behalf of the Angolan Minister of Youth and Sports, said he believed that the event would produce "valuable contributions to plans, programs and projects for the development" of the country.

"At the time we are in, the whole world, Africa and our country in particular, face major demographic, economic, political and health challenges and to face and overcome these challenges all active forces in society must be called upon to give their better," he said.

The axes of the National Development Plan (PDN) 2018-2022 were also underlined by the official, noting that "it aims to promote the socio-economic and territorial development" of Angola "with a focus on improving the well-being and socio-economic development of families", he stressed. .

Ethics and humanism in governance and the 'Angolanization' of human capital are still topics to be discussed at this conference, which ends on Saturday, in the Angolan capital.
