President attends two African Union summits in Malabo

The President, João Lourenço, travels this Thursday to Malabo, capital of Equatorial Guinea, to participate in a humanitarian summit and a conference on terrorism and unconstitutional change of government in Africa promoted by the African Union, the presidency announced.

The Secretary for Institutional Communication and Press Affairs of the President says, in a note sent this Thursday to Lusa, that João Lourenço leaves Luanda this Thursday to participate in these "two high-level conferences".

According to the note, on Friday Malabo will host the Humanitarian Summit and Donor Conference, an event that will show the current situation of the humanitarian situation in Africa and seek new commitments in terms of donations.

The African Union Conference on Terrorism and Unconstitutional Change of Government in Africa, "a proposal by the Angolan President made at a recent summit of the continental organization and which welcomed the acceptance of African leaders", takes place on Saturday.
