According to a statement from the ZEE to which VerAngola had access, António Henriques da Silva encouraged entrepreneurs from that country to invest in Angolan soil as well as to explore the investment opportunities that Angola offers "in the most varied sectors with a focus on economic diversification, such as agriculture, industry, tourism, infrastructure, transport, renewable energies, mining and services".
The invitation was made during the Angola-Czech Republic Business Forum, promoted by the Czech Republic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, held in Prague on 19 May.
The note states that the event was opened by Balbina da Silva, Angola's ambassador to the Czech Republic, who welcomed those present, particularly Czech businessmen.
In turn, António Henriques da Silva, speaking about "Angola's Investment Opportunities", highlighted the country's openness to welcoming potential investors.
He also emphasized the "benefits of the Private Investment Law in force, combined with the new Government policies for facilitating private investment and improving the business environment in Angola".
In his speech, the note said, the official also underlined the potential of the ZEE, "as the space to be considered by Czech businessmen wishing to invest in Angola, taking into account its competitive advantages".
At the forum, the vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce, Radek Jakubsky and the director of the Department of Trade Policies of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Czech Republic, Petr Kulovany, mentioned the importance of closer economic collaboration between both countries.
