In addition to producing fabrics, these factories, according to the official, have operations focused on the second stage of the process of relaunching the textile industry – promoted by the Government.

Antónia Torres, speaking to Jornal de Angola, specified that África Têxtil (in Benguela) is manufacturing tablecloths and sheets, Textang II (in Luanda) is focused on the production of uniforms and Satex (Dondo) is focused on manufacture of pants and shirts.

The official also added that the three manufacturing units in the sector will join other former clothing factories, resulting in the production of 18 million pieces per year: "The three will join the other former clothing factories, which will result in a production than 18 million pieces per year".

She also admitted that the struggle in the field of clothing has been reduced with the activities of this industry, taking into account the implementation of customs incentives for importers, writes Jornal de Angola.

Speaking on the sidelines of the third Forum of the Textile and Clothing Industry in Angola, the head of the Department of Industrial Policies of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, declared that there is a possibility of opening more factories under institutional actions to encourage private investment in the sector. .

She said that their "doors are open, if there is an entrepreneur who intends to invest in the textile industry or increase the clothing line".

"The Government is available to provide the necessary institutional support, from financing and other necessary factors throughout the implementation of the project", she informed, quoted by Jornal de Angola.
