It is not a fantasy, the African economy represents more than 2.6 billion dollars of GDP (Gross Domestic Product)", said this Wednesday the also President of the Republic of Senegal.

Macky Sall stressed that the situation represents "additional obstacles to access to credit in good conditions for African countries".

"That is why I launched the idea of a pan-African (financial) annotation agency and it is not important to simply create this agency, but there must also be a great deal of collaboration with our internal agencies", he argued, reiterating the need for Africa to have a place in the G20

"This is a challenge where we have to raise our voices more and more, we really have to have strong African voices to denounce these injustices".

"And we also take our advocacy at the level of these institutions, so Mr President (João Lourenço) we also need your voice for Africa. OECD and the G7 next June", he exhorted, addressing his Angolan counterpart.

The African Union president also said that he hopes to count on João Lourenço to "take and amplify our messages as a member of the African Union bureau".

On the conflict in Ukraine, Macky Sall considered that it "seriously threatens our countries with basic necessities and also with rising prices".

"As we said during our meeting, it is very important that Africa continues to demand an end to hostilities and also continues to remain neutral in this war, not entering into conflicts involving the west and the east", he concluded.
