According to a statement from the Presidency of the Republic, which VerAngola had access to, the farewell ceremony took place late Friday morning at the Presidential Palace.
Around noon on Friday, the Vietnamese president "returned to the Presidential Palace, in Cidade Alta, for the corresponding departure protocol."
"The President of the Republic of Angola and the First Lady, flanked by ministers of state and other central administration officials, greeted Luong Cuong and the First Lady of Vietnam, as a farewell, as well as members of the official delegation that traveled from Hanoi to Luanda," the statement reads.
The 72-hour state visit featured several highlights, including the signing of seven agreements between the two countries, a meeting between the two heads of state, and the Vietnamese president's address to the National Assembly.
Another highlight was Luong Cuong's visit to the National Museum of Military History this Friday.
During a guided tour lasting approximately an hour and a half, the Vietnamese President learned about Angola's historical military history through the museum's collection, which depicts moments such as colonization, the Angolan struggle for an independent Angola, and more.
At the end, Luong Cuong expressed his admiration for the monument's narrative and preservation, emphasizing that the museum serves not only the current generation but also future ones.
As part of the Vietnamese President's visit to Angola, a working meeting was also held this Friday between the Minister of the Interior, Manuel Homem, and the Vice Minister of Public Security, Colonel-General Le Quoc Hung.
"Topics related to the recognition of the high level of friendly and cooperative relations between Angola and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the strengthening of diplomatic and institutional ties, especially in the fields of security and internal order, were highlighted" at this working meeting, the Ministry of the Interior said in a statement that VerAngola had access to.
"The meeting also highlighted the exchange of experiences on internal matters, with emphasis on the prevention and combat of cybercrime, staff training, and the common interest in concluding new agreements in cross-cutting areas of specific competences," the statement reads.
