French companies to compete for the management of Porto do Lobito terminals

French businessmen will be interested in participating in the public tender that will determine the management of Porto do Lobito, in Benguela. The information was advanced by the French ambassador to Angola, Daniel Vosgien.

After a visit to the port company, the diplomat got to know the equipment and the inherent infrastructures, showing himself satisfied with the organization of Porto, commercial policy and its operation.

According to Angop, the ambassador left the 'promise' to sensitize French investors to invest in the Benguela region, since it is - after Luanda - the second location where more French companies are found.

The diplomat was also informed of the advantages that Porto represents for exports from neighboring countries without access to the sea. He also visited the Benguela Railway, Sonamet and Angoflex.

It is recalled that the launch of the tender to determine the terminal management company of Porto do Lobito is scheduled for this month of May, according to information advanced by the chairman of the Porto Board of Directors, Celso Rosas.
