Angola attends 74th World Health Assembly

Angola participates, since this Monday, in the 74th World Health Assembly. At the event, which was inaugurated in Geneva, the aim is to talk about the future international treaty to combat emergencies.

Angola is represented at the event by a delegation led by the Minister of Health, Silvia Lutucuta.

The event aims to correct the flaws that have been verified during the current health crisis. It also intends to establish more political efforts so that it is possible to have a better coordination of efforts to provide an effective response in times of crisis.

According to Angop, the World Health Assembly will analyze the strategy on how the covid-19 pandemic can be overcome.

Inaugurated this Monday, May 24, the event will run until June 1 in a format that will be divided between face-to-face and virtual sessions.
