Covid-19: Mota-Engil donates more than 3,000 protective equipment to the Government

Mota-Engil has decided to roll up its sleeves and help the country fight the covid-19 pandemic that has ravaged almost the entire world.

In a communiqué sent to VerAngola, the company reveals that it has delivered more than 3,000 pieces of protective equipment to the government.

"The company delivered, at the Directorate of the Ministry of Health, around 3 thousand disposable protective suits, 1000 masks and 50 facial visors produced in the province of Cabinda through 3D printing, seeking to contribute to the protection of the valuable health professionals who provide daily health care on behalf of citizens", indicates the note.

It also states that it has rehabilitated the Building of Block C of the Psychiatric Hospital of Luanda which is dedicated to the "diagnosis and possible treatment of the covid-19 pandemic".

In addition, the company has helped to distribute drinking water in the districts of Cazenga, Molevos, Benfica, Kapalanga and Futungo. The distribution has been made using three cistern vehicles, which each day distribute between 80 and 100 thousand litres.

Mota-Engil is also helping the provinces of Luanda and Cabinda, where hospitals are being built "which will ensure greater and better access to health in the country.

Finally, the company reveals that it has also adopted all the necessary prevention measures to keep its employees safe and healthy.

The initiatives, carried out within the scope of social responsibility, began on 3 April and will remain active until the end of the State of Emergency.
