“It is said that each Cuban doctor will be earning between six and eight thousand dollars a month. Where is the appreciation of the Angolan, when the Cuban doctor comes to receive these salaries that he does not earn in Cuba, even in the best of his dreams? ”Asked the parliamentary leader of UNITA, quoted by Novo Jornal.
Raúl Danda also regretted the situation of national doctors, referring that a chief medical officer - the highest career category in the national health system - earns only about 400 thousand kwanzas.
With regard to the covid-19 pandemic, the opposition reinforces the need to build field hospitals and create specific wards for patients with infection in hospitals.
Another of UNITA's criticisms is against the neglect of other diseases, such as malaria, stating that they are in the background because “they only affect and kill the poor”.
Finally, the opposition criticized the Government's acquisition of Condomínio Ngombe, an infrastructure area in Calumbo that will be used for specialized treatment of epidemics and pandemics. The cost of acquiring the building, with 200 residences, amounts to 25 million dollars, which means a value of 125 thousand dollars per residence.
“What was it that motivated the acquisition of these houses? Where are the large houses recently confiscated from what President João Lourenço's executive calls 'hornets'?
