The news was given by the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, during the usual press conference on the development of the disease in the country.
Quoted by Angop, he also made it known that the fence should be removed during this Friday afternoon.
The Futungo de Belas neighbourhood was confined to a health fence for 23 days. The health authorities decided to surround the neighbourhood after cases of local transmission had been identified.
The authorities suspect that the "case 26" has breached home quarantine after traveling from Portugal to Angola on 18 March. This disrespect is said to have led to the infection of more than 26 people in that neighbourhood, leading to the implementation of the fence.
Besides the Futungo neighborhood, the Cassenda neighborhood was also in confinement for a month and a half. In the Hoji-ya-Henda neighborhood a sanitary fence was also set up which is still maintained.
