The police also said that the real reasons for that disagreement are already being investigated.
However, the victim's neighbours tell a different story. According to the popular, quoted by Opaís, António Domingos Vulola was living with friends when the police approached them and asked why they were not wearing a mask, since it is compulsory.
According to the witnesses, after the young man was shot and was receiving medical assistance, the officer responsible for the shooting began to flee and, for this reason, the neighborhood residents went to the mobile police station. Not to vandalize the police station, as the authorities claim, but to get more answers about the situation.
This is the third time that there has been a death at Rocha Pinto related to the police. In March 2019, the police mortally shot Juliana Cafrique - a case that has become well known and mediated in the country. In August of the same year, the police again fired in that neighborhood, killing João Paulo Mutala, a 56 year-old shepherd.
