According to the Ministry of Health's statement, since the beginning of the year, 10,084 cases of cholera have been reported, of which 4494 were in the province of Luanda, the epicentre of the outbreak.
In addition to Luanda, the provinces of Bengo, Icolo and Bengo, Cuanza Norte, Benguela, Malanje, Cabinda, Namibe, Huambo, Zaire, Cuanza Sul, Uíge, Huíla, Cubango, Bié, Cunene and Lunda Sul are affected, with four provinces being free from the outbreak.
Since January, 386 deaths have been recorded, mainly in Luanda and Bengo, with 164 and 105 respectively.
In the last 24 hours, three deaths were recorded, in Luanda, Cuanza Norte and Icolo e Bengo, and 102 people were discharged, while 406 others are hospitalized.
