President of CAF is already in Angola. Visit marked by meeting with PR

Patrice Motsepe, president of the African Football Confederation (CAF), landed this Friday in Angola, where he will undertake a two-day working visit. His agenda highlights a meeting with the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, scheduled for this Saturday.

Members of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF), led by its president Artur Almeida e Silva, welcomed the CAF president, upon his arrival in Luanda, at 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, writes Angop.

According to a note from the FAF, to which VerAngola had access, the visit will last two days, that is, it will take place this Friday and Saturday.

For this Friday, Patrice Motsepe's agenda includes, later in the morning, a meeting with the Minister of Youth and Sports, Rui Falcão. Afterwards, he will spend "the afternoon meeting with various football players in Angola".

The highlight of the visit will be the meeting with João Lourenço. "On Saturday, April 13, 2024, the President of the CAF will meet in the morning with the Angolan Head of State, President João Lourenço", reads the FAF statement.

Still on Saturday, the president of CAF will hold a press conference.
