The Afrobasket quarterfinals kick off this Monday in Luanda, pitting Guinea (second in Group C) against Mali (third in Group D). The match will kick off at 4:00 pm. The winner of this match will then face Ivory Coast.
The second game of the day will feature a clash between Senegal (second in Group D) and South Sudan (third in Group C). This, the final match of the day, is scheduled to kick off at 7:00 pm. Nigeria awaits the winner of this match.
This phase of the competition continues Tuesday with matches between Cape Verde (second in Group A) and Tunisia (third in Group B), and Cameroon (second in Group B) against DR Congo (third in Group A). The matches will be played at the same times as the previous day, also at the Kilamba Pavilion in Luanda.
Angola awaits the winner of the first match, between Cape Verde and Tunisia, the latter team being the current defending champion.
The victorious team from the other match (Cameroon vs. DR Congo) will face Egypt in the quarterfinals.
The quarterfinal matches are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday in Luanda. Angola will be the last team to take the field, on Thursday at 7:00 pm.
The Afrobasket final takes place next Sunday, the 24th, in Luanda.
Rwanda, Madagascar, Libya, and Uganda were eliminated from the competition, as they finished last in each of the four groups.
