Angola loses first CAN futsal game against Morocco

Angola started to lose in the African Futsal Nations Championship (CAN 2024). It was by five balls to two that the senior men's national team of the sport was defeated in its first game of the competition against its counterpart from Morocco. However, the country will return to the field this Saturday to play against Zambia.

In the game with Morocco, Hélber and Anderson were Angola's scorers. According to Angop, it was in the eighth minute that Hélber scored in favor of Angola, while Anderson scored the national team's second goal in the 38th minute of the game.

On the Moroccan side, the goals were scored by Fenni (11 minutes), Elayyane (22 minutes) and Charraoui (24, 34 and 35 minutes).

After losing 5-2 in their first game, the national team returns to the field this Saturday, where they will face Zambia, who beat Ghana (5-2) in the other game in the group of which Angola is part. The match takes place in Rabat (Morocco).

In the competition, Angola is placed in group A, also composed of Morocco, Zambia and Ghana.

After these two games, the national team will still meet Ghana on the field. This match is scheduled for the 15th of this month.
