The construction of a bridge between Camassunda and Bom Pastor – which are separated by a ditch about 20 meters long, complicating the mobility – will start this year.

The revelation was made by Manuel Homem, governor of Luanda province, this Thursday, who, quoted by Angop, took the opportunity to make it known that the project is already included in the Integrated Plan of Intervention in Municipalities and that the sequential process is on the move.

The urgent construction of a bridge connecting these two sectors was defended by one of the residents of Camassunda: "More than 20,000 people circulate through this ditch daily, according to the administration of the urban district of Mulenvos, which, from the outset, requires the urgent construction of a bridge," said Maria Ventura, quoted by Angop.

The inhabitant also mentioned that circulation in the moat is carried out on foot, regretting the fact that there are no conditions for the circulation of vehicles. "Circulation in this ditch is done on foot. There are no conditions for the traffic of vehicles and motorbikes in this space. All goods are transported manually, which results in many constraints", she said, speaking to Angop.

This Thursday, the provincial governor – who is on a five-day working visit to the Paraíso neighborhood – heard from the communities of Mulenvos de Baixo, Bakongos and Quarteirão 43, having, throughout the consultation, verified common points, such as cases of delinquency, lack of hospitals, schools and domestic water connections, writes Angop.

Thus, Manuel Homem said that there are "concrete and inscribed projects for construction this year to cover the deficits in all these sectors", refers to Angop.

He also guaranteed that the areas "where the library and community kitchen will be born" have already been identified: "Spaces where the library and community kitchen will be born have already been identified, reinforcing the work already done by the local administration", he said, cited by Angop.

It should be noted that Manuel Homem has carried out, since last Monday, a five-day working day in the Paraíso neighborhood, in an agenda that aims to intensify meetings with the community, promote individual audiences, as well as understand the economic reality, cultural, political and social.
