‘Women for the Future’: Unitel offers 50 scholarships in the field of engineering. Applications have already started

Unitel launches this Tuesday the fourth edition of the scholarship program “Women for the Future”, referring to the academic year 2022/2023.

In this way, the telecommunications operator will provide 50 scholarships for women between the ages of 18 and 25, who intend to enroll or who are already attending higher education in the areas of engineering training.

The scholarships will be awarded for attendance at higher education institutions legally recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, and will annually cover enrollment, registration and tuition fees, also granting the scholarship holder an amount for general expenses (food, transport and books).

According to a statement sent by Unitel to VerAngola, the beneficiaries will also have the support of a mentor from the company during the duration of the scholarship, to guide their studies and careers.
After completing their studies, scholarship holders who achieve good results (final average of at least 16 points) will be eligible for the company's 'Top Students' program, which provides six months of paid internship. Students who finish the internship with an achievement of 75 percent or above will benefit from a work contract.

Candidates must meet the following requirements: have Angolan nationality; be up to 25 years of age; not be or have been linked as a scholarship holder to other institutions, whether public or private; have at least 14 final grades for both high school and university entrance exams. If you have already started your studies at a higher education institution, you must also have an average of at least 14 values. Candidates cannot hold a bachelor's or licentiate degree and be candidates or attend other university courses.

The term of the scholarship is equal to the duration of the course to be attended, and in order to maintain the scholarship it is necessary to have an average of 14 points or more annually.

Admission to the competition for the academic year 2023 will take place between the 26th of April and the 15th of July, and potential candidates must obtain the Application Form and all information about the program on the Unitel website.
