For now, the operation of the device during its launch is being tested, more specifically how the satellite will behave in the face of sudden changes in temperature, which may fluctuate between minus 100 and plus 100 degrees Celsius, advances the Expansão.
In addition, the same newspaper adds that the Angosat-2 launch vehicle is already at the place where the satellite will be launched (Baikonur, Kazakhstan). However, an official release date has not yet been announced, and it should take place between the end of July and the beginning of August.
Technicians consulted by Expansão agree that Angosat-2 will be able to enter orbit before the elections.
It is recalled that Russia and Angola had already signed an agreement for the production of a first satellite, Angosat-1, but after entering orbit in 2017, the device lost contact with Earth. Thus, in 2018, a new agreement emerged for the construction of a second satellite, Angosat-2, to replace the first device.
