Sagrada Esperança president says that Depú fled the club for enticement

The president of Sagrada Esperança, José Muacabalo, revealed on Monday, in the province of Lunda Norte, that striker Depú, Girabola's top scorer, with 19 goals, fled the team after being lured by other clubs.

Muacabalo added that the player, who is at the end of his contract with the national champions, fled the team's concentration, after refusing to undergo surgery, in Luanda, and is now in Portugal.

"Depú did not accept to be operated on at Clínica Sagrada Esperança, in Luanda. He fled from the hotel where the squad was concentrated and went to live with his tutor. On the day the doctor was preparing the conditions for the operation, he fled, claiming that he was being poorly monitored by the doctors and that he wanted to have an operation in Portugal. Today, I can agree that the boy was tricked. They poisoned his head, telling him that he was going to earn many millions of kwanzas or dollars" he said.

The manager admitted that at the end of the first round of Girabola, the top scorer of the Angolan football championship had already expressed his intention to leave Sagrada Esperança.

"Let him speak, because we were in a position to negotiate his treatment outside the country, but we were not found or found. Just to give you an idea, at the end of the first round of the championship, I received Depú and he said he wanted to leave Sagrada Esperança, but we advised him to reflect a little more", said Muacabalo.

The national press advanced during the week that Depú is in Lisbon, undergoing treatment, the costs of which are under the aegis of Petro de Luanda, a club with which the player will have, allegedly, signed a contract for three seasons, in the amount of more than 10 million kwanzas.
