The Gimboa field is located in Block 4/05, about 85 kilometers off the Angolan coast, is operated by 18 Sonangol professionals, on land and at sea, as well as 80 employees under the responsibility of the partner Saipem.
Since 2009, the Block has been operated by Sonangol's Exploration and Production Business Unit, with estimated reserves of 47 million barrels.
The field has a Floating Production, Storage and Offloading Unit (FPSO), capable of producing a maximum of 60,000 bpd (barrels of oil per day) and 37 million cubic feet of gas per day.
